The soundtrack for the upcoming adventure film 'Oz and the Great and Powerful' will feature at least one great and powerful diva, because Mariah Carey has signed on to contribute the song 'Almost Home.'

The single drops on Feb. 19 and the video debuts on March 8, the same day 'Oz' arrives in theaters. Based on the fact that Carey co-produced the track with Stargate, we're guessing it's an up-tempo tune. The singer is also prepping a new album for a possible spring release.

Famed photographer David LaChapelle will shoot the 'Almost Home' music video, which will include new footage of the 'American Idol' judge mixed in with clips from the movie, which features characters from the Land of Oz portrayed by James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Zach Braff and Michelle Williams (the actress, not the Destiny's Child vocalist).

Producer Bryan-Michael Cox told MTV he feels great about Mariah's next album: "She was committed to making it before she got pregnant. Then she got pregnant and she took the time off. Then after she came back, we started really vibing again and we picked up right where we left off. I just feel like between Jermaine [Dupri], myself and her, we came up with a few things that [are] really, really a solid body of work."
