Nicki Minaj recently sat down to shoot a cover for ESPN magazine, but was ultimately none too happy with the final product, which she says is heavily Photoshopped.

Spoiler: all magazine covers are Photoshopped.

We don't know why she was surprised that a magazine would do what magazines do, but we understand her ire. After all, why are we still Photoshopping women to standards that real women can't actually achieve?

Wanting to shame the mag, Minaj posted the untouched photos of her posing with basketball player Kobe Bryant, captioning one of the Instagram pics, "I love my personal unretouched photos where my forehead doesn't mysteriously grow in length."

She also refers to the final cover as, "When retouching goes wrong."

Although it wasn't all bad, Minaj also posted a behind the scenes shot of her and Bryant, writing, "So honored to be a part of this with Kobe. Had a blast."

You can peruse all the untouched photos here, here and here. Personally, we don't think any retouching was required.
