On Monday night, rain blanketed most of the state of Alabama but area firefighters are warning residents, the No Burn Order issued last month is still in effect.

According to the initial order issued, there is to be no outdoor burning in the City of Tuscaloosa to help reduce the chance of avoidable fires. Failure to comply with this order could result in criminal charges entailing a $500 fine, court costs, and possibly incarceration.

The no burn order is still active in all 67 counties in Alabama until further notice.
