No Jail Time For The Drunk Driver Suffering From Affluenza

Affluenza according to Investopedia means:  A social condition arising from the desire to be more wealthy, successful or to "keep up with the Joneses". Affluenza is symptomatic of a culture that holds up financial success as one of the highest achievements. People said to be affected by affluenza typically find that the very economic success they have been so vigorously chasing ends up leaving them feeling unfulfilled, and wishing for yet more wealth.

The definition of Affluenza makes no reference to one’s ability to distinguish right from wrong, or need to drink and drive. Yet a Texas judge ruled out jail time for a teenager whose defense attorney argued he suffered from “Affluenza” that led him to drive drunk, crash and kill four people in June.

That is the craziest (wish I could cuss) I have ever heard. I wonder if his defense had been "BLACKFFLUENZA", "GHETTOFFLUENZA" or "NOMONEYFFLUENZA", would the verdict be the same. You have to read this (wish I could cuss again)!
