Northport Boy Help Others With ‘Operation Cozy Up’
With all the violence by and against our children, one Northport boy is trying to help others as much as he can and needs your help. McLandon Hunt is organizing a month-long blanket drive with the help of the community called 'Operation Cozy Up'.
After hearing that a family was in need of blankets to keep warm the 12-yr-old came up with the idea of 'Operation Cozy Up'.
The ambitious 12-yr-old told how he came up with the name,
I was getting on my robe. And I thought it was cozy and then the happiness, like my happiness level went up. So I thought, so I thought, cozy up.
You can drop off brand new blankets at any Northport Fire station, Northport Police Department station, the city's Chik-fil-A and at Echols Middle School.
