Looks like transgendered people are not welcome to the city of Oxford,  Ala.  unless they're fasting. Its city council unanimously approved an ordinance which prevents transgender people from using public restrooms and other facilities consistent with their gender identity.

To make matters even worse,  those found to be inv violation can be fined $500 or be sentenced to 6 months in jail.

Here's my question,  though: How are tbey going to determine who is transgendered and who isn't?  Are they placing cameras in the stalls now?  Roughing up women with masculine faces to cop a feel for a package?  Rubbing the chests of men who look like they may have excessive boobage?

The fact of the matter is that the transgendered have been going to the bathroom of the sex with which they identify themselves for decades,  and we cannot always tell who is trans and who's not.  It would probably behoove the Oxford city council to put their time and energy elsewhere.
