The scene was bleak, a fire at an apartment complex where no one was home but left their dog at home. According to Al.com, the fire engulfed the entire apartment and when fire and rescue arrived, crews rescued the dog from inside the apartment.

He was limp and lifeless. Medics used their pet resuscitators to revive the canine. The animal rescue kit has a special cup-shaped mask that fits animals' muzzles more tightly than the regular oxygen masks made for people.

The Labrador-mixed breed dog responded extremely well to the resuscitation, and was standing up - although shaky - after a short period of time. The dog was sent to a local veterinary clinic for a full checkup. Full Story
