At 6:00pm on Friday, more than 30 people put their hand on a new pontoon boat from Hide-A-Way Harbor Marina and Boat Sales out front of University Mall. The last person to take their hand off the boat will win it!

We gave people a chance to pick who they thought would win and now we are going to keep you updated on the Boat-A-Thon as people drop off the boat. You can also follow our Twitter feed for live updates as well.

(The contest has now closed since the Boat-A-Thon has begun. We will announce the fan favorite soon.)

UPDATE:

We reached our final 10 contestants at 5pm, 23 hours into the event!

We are down to the final 5 after passing noon on Sunday! Will all five make it to 48 hours?

At 6:30am on Monday, we have reached our final two!

Curt and Mark are still holding strong to begin the 68th hour at 2pm.

After 81 hours, Curt Anderson became the winner of the Hands On Boat-A-Thon. Also, congratulations to Dawn Hulsey for nearly predicting the winner and time exactly. She picked Curt Anderson to win in 80 hours! For her efforts, she'll receive a $50 gift certificate to University Mall.
