You know the Doritos commercial that aired during Sunday's game, showing a father teasing his unborn baby with Doritos during an ultrasound? Everybody thought it was cute, right? WRONG! Apparently, one pro-choice group has taken issue with the commercial.

For those who may have missed it or who might need a refresher:

So, what's the issue?  NARAL is a pro-choice organization, which describes "pro-choice" as protecting women's access to safe, legal abortion. It also means working on ways to help reduce the need for abortion, like improving access to birth control. And it means supporting women who choose to carry their pregnancies to term.

The first problem the group has with the commercial is that it "humanizes" a fetus.

Well, it was inside a human woman, right?  That WOULD make it an unborn human baby, wouldn't it?

The group also says the dad appears "clueless" and the mom is "uptight."  Can't argue with the last point.  She does appear to be uptight, but how does one person's experience (albeit an actress) depict ALL women?  Men either, for that matter!

I say it's a reach and an attempt to feign bitterness as a means of garnering attention for the organization, thereby furthering its cause.  If my theory is correct, I say job well done. If not and the group really has issue with the commercial, I think NARAL has to be the biggest group of pessimists, looking for reasons to be angry about things that have nothing to do with them..... If not the group, definitely the person who controls its Twitter account.
