The music world is mourning the loss of rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Chuck Berry who passed away on Saturday (March 18) at the age of 90. The legendary singer-songwriter made the guitar sing and revolutionize the sound of rock for nearly five decades.

Berry’s musical legacy has influenced countless of artists in rock, hip-hop, R&B, jazz and country music genres. Musicians like Questlove, Bruno Mars, Q-Tip, Lenny Kravitz, Chuck D and even The Rolling Stones went on social media to pay tribute to the rock ‘n’ roller who has clearly inspired them to rock on in their respective genres.

Bruce Springsteen said it best in his tweet: “Chuck Berry was rock's greatest practitioner, guitarist, and the greatest pure rock 'n' roll writer who ever lived.”
