R. Kelly took to the stage in Tuscaloosa last night and put on his second show in our city in as many years.

The hilarious comedian Big Sean Larkins, a Tuscaloosa favorite, was the opening act.

Comedian Big Sean Larkins opened for R. Kelly at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, Oct. 26, 2014. He will also take the stage at Steve Brown's LMBAO Comedy Series at the Bama Theater on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014.

Completely entertained, he had the audience amped and ready for R. Kelly to hit the stage.... which didn't happen for about another hour.

Not many attendees were happy about the lull between sets, but let's face it, we're all late for appointments at some time or another, whether it's our own fault or that of someone else's.  Never the less, when R. Kelly finally hit the stage, he performed all of the songs his fans know and love.

He also sang some of the songs that are not radio-friendly, especially during the part of his show that was performed in the middle of the audience.

Duh! However, there were times that he could clearly be heard singing from the stage as well as in the speakers.

What are your thoughts? Would you have preferred to have heard all live vocals and music, or does it matter to you?  Did the lack of all live instruments and vocals take away from the experience for you?
