R. Kelly isn't just the "Pied Piper of R&B"; he's also one of the busier artists in the genre. He's released four albums in the past five years, and his latest, 'Black Panties,' gave him the most notoriety he had in a while. Now, the singer tells V magazine he's already begun work on its follow-up.

The 'My Story' singer's 13th album will be titled 'White Panties.' There's no word on if the title represents some sort of symbolic spiritual cleansing when put beside 'Black Panties,' but it's not likely given how well R. Kelly's raunchy effort did.

The entertainer also explains he's using the same songwriting approach he has throughout his career. "I always follow what my spirit tells me to do," R. Kelly says. "When I get into the studio I write from my heart. I try to write life and not songs. People live life and when you write life you’re going to mess around and touch somebody’s heart, and they’ll relate to you and what you’re singing about."

He's also planning a collaboration album with Mary J. Blige. The two are getting ready to embark on the King & Queen Tour, and R. Kelly wants to do a full album that shares the tour's name with the R&B queen.

"I’m in the studio right now working on a song for me and Mary," R. Kelly tells V. "I’m even looking forward to proposing that we do a whole album together."

It's interesting to see how the two would mesh though. R. Kelly's last album had the R-rated 'Cookie' metaphor. Mary J. Blige's last project was a Christmas album.
