Roc Nation has announced the launch of Roc Nation Latin and also revealed that the new label's CEO is Dominican star Romeo Santos.

Photos of Jay Z and Santos signing papers at the Roc Nation headquarters were posted on Roc Nation's Instagram to announce the news. The "King of Bachata" is pictured signing papers with Roc Nation's head honcho and glasses being poured in celebration.

“Romeo has had tremendous success as a composer and producer and can spot true talent,” Hov said via statement. “This is a tremendous step for Roc Nation. We recognize there is a huge Latin market that is part of global culture. We’re proud and ready to enter into true partnership with an individual that intimately lives and knows that culture.”

Johnny Marines has been named as Roc Nation Latin President, with the label geared as a full service entertainment division of Roc Nation focused on developing Latin talent and also providing marketing, endorsement deals, philanthropic support, media relations and brand strategy. The focus will cover both national and international markets.

Having risen to fame as a member of Aventura and worked with artists like Nicki Minaj and Drake, Santos' success as a major Bachata star makes him uniquely qualified to spearhead this venture and help cultivate talent under Roc Nation Latin.

“With this next step and phase in my career I see a great opportunity to give back all that I have learned during the past few years to new talent,” said Santos. “Not only do I idolize Jay Z as an artist but also as a business mogul. Jay Z is a visionary who was able to recognize that in our Latin Culture there is a lot of talent. I am grateful for his trust and that he has seen in me an ally for all Latinos.”
