The Alabama football has become accustomed to scoring non-offensive touchdowns. Dating back to the College Football Playoff in 2015, the Crimson Tide defense and special teams have scored in five straight games.

Last time out against Ole Miss, Eddie Jackson returned a punt for a touchdown while the defense scored on two fumbles. The last one went 75 yards when Jonathan Allen caught a ball knocked out of the hands of quarterback Chad Kelly, which turned out to be the game winning score.

"I see him running hard for about 20 yards," Ryan Anderson said about Allen's fumble return. "I see him run out of gas. He was just waiting to get tackled. I thought he was going to get tackled and I know he did too. Seventy-five yards later Jon had scored a touchdown. Dang."

The Alabama defense and special teams has outscored Buffalo, Idaho, and Florida International in 2016.

"As a defense, we're all close, especially we're with each other everyday. Day in and out, grinding. We go through the grind together. When something like that happens, we're all happy for each other. We're going to do whatever we can do to help our guys have success."

The Crimson Tide will face the 119th ranked offense when Kent State comes to town on Saturday. That game kicks off at 11AM.
