  • BIBB COUNTY SCHOOLS: 3 HOUR DELAY
  • BIRMINGHAM CITY SCHOOLS: K-8 OPEN AT 10AM, HIGH SCHOOLS OPEN AT 10:30AM
  • FAYETTE COUNTY SCHOOLS: 2 HOUR DELAY
  • GREENE COUNTY SCHOOLS: STUDENTS AT 10:30AM, STAFF AT 10:15AM
  • HALE COUNTY SCHOOLS: 3 HOUR DELAY
  • JEFFERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS: 3 HOUR DELAY
  • MARION COUNTY SCHOOLS: 2 HOUR DELAY
  • PICKENS COUNTY SCHOOLS: 2 HOUR DELAY, FACULTY TO REPORT AT 9AM
  • PICKENS ACADEMY: OPEN AT 10AM
  • SHELTON STATE COMM. COLLEGE: OPEN AT 10:30AM
  • TUSCALOOSA CITY SCHOOLS: 3 HOUR DELAY
  • TUSCALOOSA COUNTY SCHOOLS: 3 HOUR DELAY
  • UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA BIRMINGHAM: OPEN AT 10AM
  • WINFIELD CITY SCHOOLS: OPEN AT 9:45AM
  • UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA WILL DELAY START AND NORMAL BUSINESS OPERATIONS UNTIL 10AM

If the storm system arrives at the projected time, morning commutes could be made difficult by strong straight-line winds. There is still the possibility of isolated tornadoes. We will have live coverage from ABC 33/40 Chief Meteorologist James Spann in the event of any tornado warnings issued for our area.
