Temporary School Employee Arrested for Sex Act with Student

Every high school student has seen a teacher, substitute teacher, or school staff member he or she found attractive.  For most, that's as far as it goes; for others, it leads to more, including the arrest of the possibly participating adult.

According to Tuscaloosa Police, 54-year-old Meta Lovely was arrested on May 23, 2018, following an investigation into an alleged improper relationship between a Tuscaloosa City School employee and a student.

Lovely, a substitute teacher, was said to have been involved in a sexual relationship with a student of the Tuscaloosa City School System. She turned herself in at Tuscaloosa Police Department on the charge of School Employee Engaging in a Sex Act with a Student under the age of 19, and  was transported to Tuscaloosa County Jail where she was held on a $30,000.00 bond.

It is deeply upsetting when any adult takes advantage of a child, but it is even more disconcerting when the adult in question is part of an institution that supposedly fosters and healthy environment for the youth to develop and become contributing members of society.
