This really disturbs me. I understand rules and policies and why they are put in place. I understand that rules aren’t effective if they are not enforced.

Ask any law enforcement officer, manager, teacher, or any one whose role is enforcing the rules, there will come a time when you have to look the other way.

According to mediablackoutusa.com a Colorado kitchen manager at an elementary school was fired because she gave lunch to a hungry first grader, who was crying because she didn’t have enough money to pay for her lunch.

Excuse me but where is the compassion here? What’s happened to the decent thing to do? There is something wrong when we have rules prohibiting us from feeding hungry children at school with food that would have probably been discarded anyway.
