The growth of the Southeastern Conference hasn't been more evident than the summer's Media Days each year. As the seven-year championship streak rolled along, more and more credentialed media members began showing up in Hoover, Alabama for the unofficial start of college football. 

To accommodate the added interest, the SEC has expanded the annual event to cover an extra day in 2014. Beginning on July 14, all 14 head coaches, along with Commissioner Mike Slive and Head of Officials Steve Shaw, will speak to the media at The Wynfrey Hotel.

The extra day might also allow ESPN's new SEC Network more time to shoot interviews and compile video for the August launch. Just as it did last year, the Worldwide Leader will use this spectacle to endlessly promote the new network. And it makes perfect sense. You'll never have your core audience's attention all in one place like ESPN has at SEC Media Days.

Auburn and Alabama will bookend this year's proceedings, which will provide a nice buffer for the in-state media. Take a look at the full schedule:
