According to Al.com a bill by Sen. Del Marsh is to be introduced to the Senate about creating a state-wide lottery and table gaming soon, I wonder if Alabama is ready for a lottery? Over the years having lived in states with a lottery, I would definitely say YES to Alabama having a lottery. The states surrounding Alabama have lotteries and it has done wonders for the respective states economic woes. Education would receive the sorely needed funding it needs, $332 million in potential revenue, and almost 13,500 jobs would be created according to Al.com. Then most of us wouldn't have to go to Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee to play the lottery and send those dollars out of state.
