Poll Question – Should The American Flag Be Flown At Half Staff In Honor Of Nelson Mandela

Politics is something I usually stay away from but I must address this.  I usually support the decisions made by President Obama.  Even the ones I don’t agree with but I can't support him on this one.

After the death of Nelson Mandela the President issued a declaration ordering all U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff through sunset on Monday, December 9.

There is no denying Mandela was a great man. Mr. Mandela did do a lot for global peace and democracy but he wasn’t American.

This honor should be reserved for Americans.
