The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center's latest forecast calls for a significant severe weather event in Alabama. The SPC reports that strong tornadoes will be possible. Here's the latest statement from the SPC's Official Facebook Page:

A significant multi-day severe weather event is expected across portions of the central and southern Plains Saturday and Sunday and across the Mississippi Valley and mid South on Monday.
