Solange Knowles Collaborator Dev Hynes’ Apartment Burns Down With Dog Inside

This is just horrible. Producer Dev Hynes, who worked with Solange Knowles until they had a falling out, has lost everything in a fire that ravaged his Manhattan apartment last night, Dec. 16.

Hynes, also known musically as Blood Orange, took to Twitter last night to express his devastation at the heart-wrenching incident, which unfortunately claimed the life of his dog.

Fortunately, Hynes' girlfriend, Samantha Urbani, has come to her boyfriend's aid: her mother, Robin Urbani has set up a fundraising site to help the producer and musician. Urbani's initial goal was to raise $5,000, but donations have poured in so rapidly that that goal is far surpassed. Thanks to the kindness of fans, an incredible $13,500 has already been raised.

"I am overwhelmed by all the LOVE and support being offered to both Dev and Samantha!!" Urbani wrote in gratitude on the site.
