Tuscaloosa's HBCU Stillman College has announced that it has dropped the football program and other sports due to budget concerns. That's a blow to the HBCU in that now sports are now on the chopping block. The band is safe for now as well as cheer-leading and men's and women's basketball.

According to myfoxal.com, Stillman President Dr. Peter Millet said this is a pivotal moment in the college’s history and they want to get back on solid financial ground and that he will not allow Stillman to close because of the continuing budget woes.

He said “enough is enough.” Now the fall will be totally Alabama Football. Sorry Stillman fans, this is a sad day in Stillman Athletics.
