Alabama gymnastics put on a show in Seattle Thursday afternoon. Shallon Olsen earned and tied her career-best scores on balance beam and vault with a 9.950. Luisa Blanco performed on the uneven bars and scored a 9.900 while Makarri Doggette may have retweaked her ankle injury on her bar dismount. She still scored a 9.900, however. Griffin James made her competition debut on floor in place of Blanco and scored a solid 9.875. The Crimson Tide along with Michigan State will compete Saturday at 7 p.m. against the top two teams from session two Thursday night.
On the eve of states enacting Name Image and Likeness laws that will allow NCAA athletes to utilize their platforms for monetary gain, college athletes everywhere can celebrate another win. The Supreme Court unanimously ruled in favor of college athletes in the case of Alston v NCAA.
