A carjacking went horribly wrong and cost the life of one teenager.Police officers were called to a gas station about 7 p.m. where they found a teen lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

According to AL.com, the shooting happened after the teen and his friends were approaching customers at the Jet Pep with the intention of carjacking a vehicle.

It was said that the teen was planning to carjack a vehicle so that he and and his two friends ages 16 and 17 could get home.

The teen approached an SUV that was parked at the gas station when shots were fired from the SUV hitting the teen. The SUV then left the scene.

Where is it that just to get a ride some feel that they have to carjack someone? Weren't there any parents or adults the teens could have called for a ride? Why didn't they just ask for a ride home? It is ashamed that a young man had to lose his life trying to carjack someone for a ride home. Full Story
