A teenager was in stable condition after he was shot at Downing Place Apartments.
Witnesses said that the victim, 16, was standing in front of an apartment building in the 300 block of 38th Place East when a suspect came around the corner and began shooting, according to Capt.Gary Hood, Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit commander.
The teen was struck on his arm and left side. Bullets also entered an occupied apartment, Hood said. The victim is being treated at DCH Regional Medical Center, he said, and was in stable condition.
