For starters, I can remember living in an apartment complex, where there were rules concerning the community pool.  If there was a violation of the rules that caused me to not be able to use the pool in comfort, I would have caused the apartment management.  THAT is what should have happened first in this case.  If apartment management was unable to rectify the situation, THEN management should have called the police.

We all know that we live in a day and age where being a spectator is almost a necessity. So, telling female bystanders to leave while handling the young men is almost an unreasonable request.... Especially if none of them did anything wrong but were accosted because of disgruntled residents, although they were invited to a gathering by another resident.

All the responding officers had to do was approach the party, find out who was in charge, and have them to end the party if necessary.  To chase behind children is absurd. To have a child pinned to the ground with a knee in her back is ridiculous! Sadly, because they can't walk in our shoes, I don't think they're ever going to get it.
