We are in our last few hours of our annual St. Jude Children's Research Hospital radiothon, and this hour is being sponsored by The Impact Nation Fellowship Church.

Bishop L. Spenser and Lady Patrice Smith stopped by our studios to show their support for the work being done in our community to support families like theirs.  The Smiths have children with Sickle Cell Disease. So, they know the anguish of having sitting at a bedside while a child goes through a crisis. The Smiths said that when their children were younger, they couldn't really articulate what they were feeling, but their son recently told them that he felt as if he was being stabbed over and over and over again.

In addition to making a donation, they also expressed the fact that they've created a support system for church members who are dealing with Sickle Cell Disease. Of course, no one wants to go through hard times alone. Even if we don't have a solution for the ailment, it's always nice to know there's someone who cares and who understands.

Just as the Impact Nation Fellowship Church has partnered with St. Jude in helping to save lives and fight Sickle Cell Disease as well as childhood cancers, you can join in the fight by becoming a Partner in Hope. Call 1-800-411-9898 and commit to $20 a month, a small price to pay for the healing of children today and  future generations.
