The Shoe Clinic: Sneaker Dry Cleaning, Repair, and Customization

I'm out here minding my own business, doing my daily scroll along Facebook and I come upon THIS picture. I knew I had to give them a call.

I spoke with Tavaris Godbolt, who explained to me that his partner, Alvin Miller, started restoring shoes in his apartment. He wanted to avoid throwing away an old pair of shoes. So, he started doing research. Eventually, he repaired a pair of his own shoes, posted it on Facebook, and interest started pouring in!

Upon further conversation, I learned that they not only do cleanings, and restorations, but they also customize shoes. Let's say you have a particular shoe where you'd like to change the leather. They can actually do it for you!

They also sell a shoe cleaner. So, after you've gotten your shoes restored, you can maintain them yourself. You know what that means for me, right? Yep! My pink Timberlands will receive a new life.
