According to Tuscaloosa Police, 25-year-old Byron Dwights Sullivan was arrested following a high speed chase with Tuscaloosa Police. Sullivan injured himself in the ordeal, and once released from DCH, he will be placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $4,500 bond; but holds were also placed on him for the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and the Coaling Police Department for outstanding warrants.

During its convention this weekend, the Alabama Democratic Conference is planning to honor District Attorney Michael Jackson, of Selma, with the John F. Kennedy Personal Courage Award. Jackson successfully prosecuted former state trooper James Bonard Fowler for a civil rights-era slaying.

A woman who disappeared 10 years ago, was discovered alive in a Cleveland home yesterday along with two other women who'd been held captive. Also in the house was a 6-year-old boy. Three brothers have been arrested.
