This morning, the Tuscaloosa News reports that yesterday Tuscaloosa City Council President Harrison Taylor presented a list of the full- and part-time employees hired by the city since January.  Of the 35 hires, only 8 are black. Taylor contends that this is not adequate in terms of diversity and tht something has to be done to correct the issue.

Attorney General Luther Strange has partnered with Facebook to launch  a consumer education campaign focused on online privacy. The campaign will launch this month, which is Internet Safety Month.

Pakistan’s newly-elected prime minister is calling for an end to America’s drone strikes in tribal areas, which is seen as an affront to the country’s sovereignty. However, the U.S. considers the strikes vital to battling militants sucy as al-Qaida, who use the tribal areas as a safe haven.
