Tuscaloosa Police and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office looked into information received about possible stolen property and recovered over $100,000 worth of stolen property from a location in the 1700 Block of NE Crescent Ridge Rd.  Thirty-nine-year-old Brandon Patrick Lightsey was arrested and charged with 4 counts of receiving stolen property 1st degree. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be added.

Protests over the Zimmerman acquittal continue across the country, with one even being held in Birmingham yesterday. Officials say only a small number of protesters are committing acts of violence but most are protesting peacefully.
