- Economists say a brief fall off the fiscal cliff is probably not much to worry about as long as a deal seems near even if the January 1 deadline passes without one. Experts say the harsh tax increases and spending cuts that kick in could be retroactively repealed.
- In entertainment news, according to MSN, "Sesame Street" is planning to run a segment this week that will tackle what happens when parents divorce. The segment was first brought about but shelved in 1992.
