Tomorrow morning, hundreds of avid runners and supporters will take to city streets to run in the 8th annual Tuscaloosa Mayor's Cup, a 5K fundraiser to benefit the Tuscaloosa Pre-K program. The run will begin at 8:00am at Government Plaza, where it will also end.

Yesterday, 18-year-old Jarvis Horton was arrested for an incident on April 18, in which Horton is said to have fired a gun at an occupied vehicle. The victim was not injured, but Horton has been charged with attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. He was taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set at $90,000.

Former state Sen. Lowell Barron and aide Jill Johnson are asking a state appeals court not to hear issues that the attorney general's office has raised about their criminal case. Barron and Johnson are charged with misusing $58,000 in campaign donations from Barron's unsuccessful re-election campaign in 2010.

Republican Rep. Barry Moore of Enterprise is under arrest on felony perjury charges. A statement from the attorney general's office says the charges are linked to a continuing investigation of possible public corruption.

President Obama plans to have a working dinner with South Korean President Park Geun-hye today. Obama says the U.S. will continue to do everything it can to stand with Koreans as they mourn the ferry disaster that left 300 dead or missing.

The food industry is closely watching the Food and Drug Administration to see which establishments are included in the final menu labeling rules, expected this year. The rules have been sent to the White House and could be released soon.

Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo on Sesame Street has been cleared of sex abuse charges, as the claims were made outside New York's statute of limitations.
