35-year-old Gary Lamar Brown has been charged with attempted rape following an incident Sunday evening in which Brown allegedly lured a 24-year-old woman into  his home and told her she was not leaving until she had sex with him. However, she is said to have fought him off and escaped. Brown was arrested yesterday and booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $30,000 bond.

Today, the Alabama State Bar will host a free legal clinic for low-income residents of Tuscaloosa County at the Tuscaloosa County Public Library Main Branch from 3pm until 5pm. The clinic lawyers will be available to answer questions in the areas of divorce/custody/visitation, landlord/tenant issues, wills and estates, debt/bankruptcy/foreclosure, and domestic violence.
