21-year-old Juwan Ashley was arrested early yesterday after police said he fired a BB fun at officers who responded to a call of shooting into an occupied apartment in the 1900 block of 48th St E. No one was injured, but Ashley was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and four counts of reckless endangerment. His bond was set at $39,000.

Tonight, President Obama will outline his plan to combat militants in Syria and Iraq. He'll urge Congress to quickly give him the authority to arm moderate Syrian opposition forces. He is also looking for increased support for Iraqi security forces and military and diplomatic commitments from partners in Europe, the Middle East, and elsewhere.
