University of Alabama President Judy Bonner issued a statement yesterday, saying there was no danger from a threat that prompted the lockdown of Tutwiler Hall, an episode that resulted from rumors and social media posts.

31-year-old Michelle Dawn Roden was arrested last week, charged with trespassing on a school bus and disorderly conduct after she allegedly got on the bus in front of her Duncanville home Wednesday afternoon and began yelling racial slurs and making obscene gestures at a student at the back of the bus. The bus driver was able to prevent a physical altercation but had trouble calming down the students on board and finishing her route.
