Today, we head to the polls to cast our ballots for a number of elections and amendments. If you are unfamiliar with your polling place, that information as well as sample ballots may be found at www.alabamavotes.gov.

Tuscaloosa Police have arrested 32-year-old Courtney Catrell Nixon on numerous felony charges, related to the sexual abuse of a child. The female victim is said to have been 10 years old at the time the report was made, although the abuse occurred multiple times over the last 3 years.  Nixon was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with a bond of $360,000.

Three people were killed in a two-vehicle wreck near Greensboro Sunday night.  One of the deceased was identified as 16-year-old April Richardson of Moundville.  Students at Hale County High School gathered in prayer yesterday. Troopers are still investigating the crash.

Tuscaloosa City Schools is seeking community feedback as it develops the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school calendars and works to improve its communication strategies.
The Tuscaloosa Calendar and Communications Survey will launched today and will remain open until Wednesday, Nov. 19. The survey is expected to take no more than 10 minutes to complete and may be found at www.tuscaloosacityschools.com.
