Tuscaloosa Police are pursuing several new tips in the unsolved slaying of 27-year-old amateur boxer Arhmad Vaughan, who was shot outside a gas station in April 2008. Vaughan is said to have been pumping gas when he was shot.

Demolition on the historic viaduct bridge on University Blvd leading into Alberta City is scheduled to begin today to make room for a new one.  The current bridge, which was part of the original "Gateway to the University of Alabama," was built in the 1940s.

The body of missing Ohio State football player 22-year-old Kosta Karageorge was found in a dumpster yesterday. He had been missing since Wednesday, and is said to have shot himself after sending his parents a text message about concussions messing up his head.
