  • Organizers of the Bridge Crossing Jubilee in Selma say Vice President Joe Biden and his wife will be in attendance this Sunday. The event celebrates the Selma-to-Montgomery march that helped lead to passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

 

In other news, cancellations about and public works crews are scrambling for salt and sand as a second major winter storm approaches the central Plains. This comes less than a week after another storm dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of the region. Blizzard warnings are up.
