• According to the Tuscaloosa News, at a staff meeting yesterday afternoon, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff Ted Sexton announced that he has accepted the job as head of the Homeland Security Division of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and will begin work on March 18. Governor Bentley will appoint someone to serve the remainder of his term.

 

  • Yesterday, the Alabama Senate voted in favor of a proposed constitutional amendment that would put Alabama's right-to-work law into the state constitution. The legislation will now go to the House, and if passed there, we will vote on it in next year's general election.
