No plans for this weekend? Well, the fifth annual Tuscaloosa Evening of African Film will kick off Saturday at the Bama Theater.

It starts with a live performance of African dance, storytelling,and music at 2PM.

After the live performances, they will show the award-winning children's movie" Kirikou and the Sorceress'. Its a classic African movie from 1998 which includes African folk tales.

If you're looking for something more mature, at 6PM, there will be two award winning short films - "The Return/La Retour" and "Destino" - and the feature-length "Dazzling Mirage."

The event is co-sponsored by The University of Alabama. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for kids between 14-17. Tickets are available online at Brown Paper Tickets, http://tuskafrikanfilm.brownpapertickets.com/, or you can get them the day of at Bama Theater's box office.
