One of the most widely known events of the Civil Rights Movement was the bombing of the 16th St Baptist Church in Birmingham. Beginning today, the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum will host an exhibit centered around that fateful day.

The exhibit, normally housed at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, is composed of winning entries from a 1998 national high school creative expression contest, based on originality, style and content in art, audio/visual, essay, and poetry. It will be featured at the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum (1901 Jack Warner Pkwy NE) through September 24, 2016.
