In a day and age where roommate finding services are used in colleges across the country, it's not surprising that the concept is being adapted to fit other areas of life. But would you take a risk on sharing a hotel room with a stranger if it meant it would cut your bill in half?

That's exactly what Winston Club is proposing. Travelers who are visiting the same place agree to split the cost of a hotel room. It has agreements with hotels in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas and San Francisco, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Now, having been placed with a roommate when I came to college, I can say that living with someone you don't already know can be a bit strange in the beginning, but as you get to know each other, it becomes easier. In this case, you wouldn't even have to get to know your "roommate." You just wouldn't want to leave anything of value in your room and have to pray that he/she isn't a serial killer or rapist.

Really.... Who comes up with this stuff? Never the less, would you do it?
