Elijah Blake's 'Vendetta' just wasn't strong enough to topple Trey Songz and his new track, 'Sensational,' in last week's R&B Sound Off. With 89.8 percent of the vote, Songz dominated, which left Blake with votes of only 10.2 percent.

Songz's love ode, ‘Sensational' brings it back to the old school style of R&B. He serenades his special lady with a high falsetto similar to that of Maxwell in ‘This Woman’s Work.’ So it’s obviously sultry.

“Your kiss, your lips taste sweet as honey, darling / I just lose myself inside of you, you / Touch me, hold me, need me, keep me / Swear you’ll never leave me,” he sings.

Meanwhile, Dawn Richard -- who last appeared in the R&B Sound Off with 'Army,' but unfortunately lost the round to Fantasia's 'Supernatural Love' -- is back with 'Meteors.' The electro and bass heavy track is the first single off her upcoming sophomore effort, 'BlackHeart.'

"It's falling from the sky / It's blazing everywhere / At first I didn't notice but it was obviously there," she sings on this song about unexpected love.

Will Songz's romantic track win again this week? Or will Richard rise to the top for the ladies with her own heartfelt yet danceable tune? Vote for your favorite song in the poll below. Remember you can vote once per hour until the poll closes on Tues., July 23, at 10AM ET.

Rules of R&B Sound Off
Two R&B artists sound off against each other each week. The triumphant artist goes on to compete in the next R&B Sound Off. If an artist wins four straight R&B Sound Offs, the song will be honored as immortal in TheDrop.fm R&B Sound Off Hall of Fame.
