Tuscaloosa Bar Loses Its Business License

The City Council voted 5-0 on Tuesday to remove the business license for on Tuscaloosa bar for serving underage patrons.

High Tide, formerly Horny's Bar & Grill at 508 Red Drew Avenue was slapped with 57 documented offenses including 28 violations of having minors in their establishment and 10 minor in possession of alcohol violations.

High Tide's owner Shay Dawkins and attorney Bryan Winter haven't made a decision regarding filing an appeal but the bar will not be allowed to operate while that application is pending.

The business license was revoked immediately after the meeting last night.
