Tuscaloosa Fire & Rescue Service invites the public to attend its free 2014 Fire Prevention Expo on Tuesday, October 7, at the McDonald Hughes Center parking lot, from 4-7pm.

Events will include a Touch A Truck display of different pieces of apparatus, ongoing games for children, and visits from Sparky the Fire Dog.

Here is a scheduled of demonstrations on the day of the event:

4p - Ladder truck and rappelling demo
4:30p - Suppression of a stove top grease fire
5p - Extricating a victim from a crashed vehicle
5:30p - Fire extinguisher demo
6p - Suppression of a car fire
6:30p - Residential sprinkler demo

Free soft drinks and pizza will be served.

McDonald Hughes Center is located at 3101 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., approximately two miles from the intersection of Greensboro Avenue and 15th Street.
