Forty-eight teams have advanced from the AHSAA area playoffs to play in the north central regional tournament. The regional winner and runner-up from each of the six classifications will go on to play in the state championship in Montgomery on May 15th & 17th. The tournament is set-up as a double elimination tournament. So once the team loses two games, it will not be eligible to win the tournament.

Gulf Shores, Troy and Huntsville will be hosting the other three AHSSA regional tournaments at the same time.
