As much as I love wine I can honestly say I have never tasted any of the wines on this wine list! Until a few minutes ago I had no idea what a Varietal wine is.  FYI, according Wikipedia a Varietal wine is a wine made primarily from a single named grape variety, and which typically displays the name of that variety on the wine label.

One of the worlds most recognized red wine grape variety is Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s grown in almost every major wine producing country.

Originating in the Burgundy wine region of eastern France Chardonnay is a green-skinned grape variety used to make white wine. It is now grown wherever wine is produced.

Merlot is a dark blue-colored grape variety it’s used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines.

Tuscaloosa Uncorked wine tasting is Saturday July 25, 2015 at the Bryant Conference Center at 5 p.m. General admission is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

There will be a VIP section that will include more specialty wines. Tickets for the VIP section are $30 in advance and $35 at the door.  Check out the wines.
