Tuscaloosa Water Department Extending Hours for Back-To-School

The City of Tuscaloosa Water and Sewer Department will temporarily extend service hours to meet increased demand as area college students return for the fall semester.

Beginning Monday, July 27th, customer service phone banks will extend hours to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and will continue through Monday, August 17th or until the demand subsides. Saturday hours from 9 a.m. until noon will also be available on August 1st.

• Customers can reach the water department during these extended hours by phone at (205) 248-5500.
• Also, customers can open a new account, transfer existing service or cancel water service online at tuscaloosa.com/onlineservices.
• Existing customers can pay bills and track account history online at tuscaloosa.com/onlinebills.
• Students can access a student tab on the City’s homepage for student-specific needs.
